Founder’s Story

Born From the Sea,
Built for True Spearfishers.

The idea for Petar Pan Speargun began in 2010, when Petar Kedžo could not find the right speargun for himself. His love for diving and spearfishing in Croatia — a country of a thousand islands — inspired him to create something different from what could be bought in a store.

He designed a modern custom speargun that is compact, hydrodynamic, powerful, and highly accurate, while removing unnecessary details so every diver can use it with confidence.

Every speargun is different. Every build is personal.

Each diver can customize the size, number of bands, shaft length, thickness, and choose between a vertical or horizontal reel. This makes every Petar Pan Speargun unique and built around the person who will use it.

From Selected Wood to
Sea-Tested Precision.

Every Petar Pan Speargun is built through a slow, careful, and highly detailed process. From choosing the right wood to shaping, carbon wrapping, balancing, sea testing, and final finishing, each custom build receives the attention it deserves.

Built With Detail, Skill & Patience

By profession, Petar Kedžo is a dental technician — a craft where precision and attention to detail are essential. That same mindset is applied to every custom speargun he builds.

01

Personal Build Consultation

When a customer contacts Petar for a custom speargun, he first gives professional suggestions about the right size, power, and setup based on the diver’s needs.

02

Wood Selection & Lamination

The right wood is carefully chosen, then 7 to 13 laminates are glued together depending on the length and strength requirements of the speargun.

03

Hydrodynamic Hand Shaping

Using hand tools, experience, and skill, the wooden body is shaped into a smooth hydrodynamic form that helps the gun move naturally through the water.

04

Epoxy Coating & Carbon Wrapping

After the wooden part is completed, a layer of epoxy coat is applied. Then comes the most demanding stage: carbon wrapping, which requires time, knowledge, and precision to make it perfect.

05

Sanding, Assembly & Sea Testing

The gun is sanded, coated again, assembled, and tested in the sea. Lead is used to achieve perfect balance, and the gun is tested by shooting a 5 cm wide target underwater.

06

Final Coat, Packing & Shipping

When everything performs perfectly, one final epoxy coat is applied. The speargun is then carefully packed and prepared for shipping. One custom build takes around 8 weeks to finish.

Trusted by Spearfishers Around the World.

From reef diving to blue water hunting, Petar Pan Spearguns are built for divers who value handcrafted quality, custom performance, and confidence under the sea.

I wanted a speargun that felt personal, balanced, and easy to move underwater. My Petar Pan Classic gave me exactly that. The wooden body, smooth shape, and custom handle make a big difference during reef dives.

Marko B. Reef Spearfisher

The first thing I noticed was the balance. It feels solid in the hand but still moves naturally in the water. The carbon reinforcement and hydrodynamic shape give real confidence when aiming at distance.

Luca M. Deep Diving Enthusiast

My invert roller build has serious power. It loads well, shoots clean, and feels stable even in demanding conditions. You can tell it was made by someone who understands spearfishing, not just woodworking.

Andreas K. Blue Water Hunter

What I liked most was the custom process. I could choose the size, setup, shaft, bands, and finishing details. The final speargun feels unique, handmade, and built exactly for the way I dive.
